Competent and Reliable
The level of staff qualification is a decisive factor in the quality of security and fire services. In seniors’ facilities, people who come in daily contact with residents play an important role. Daily social contact often develops into a relationship of trust. Reception is generally the first point of contact and sensitivity, understanding, and exceptional communication skills are imperative.
Dussmann Service places emphasis on well trained, motivated, committed staff; from site manager to security guard, from receptionist to guard dog handler. We support our staff through initial training and continuous further training, consistent personnel development, a guarantee of optimum working conditions and an atmosphere of mutual trust. The result: low personnel turnover, minimal absence and sick leave while the average length of company service among our security employees is high.
The selection process for security employees sets high standards. Legal and trade regulations are applied,
personal, physical and psychological eligibility is assessed and professional know-how and skills in fire prevention, use of weapons and guard dog handling are taken into consideration. A school certificate and a vocational training are required as are computer and language skills.
We offer regular up-to-date site and subject specific workshops as well as multidisciplinary seminars in our internal training center. Topics range from quality management, law and sales to operative management and workshops on health & safety, accident prevention, armed security, fire prevention and codes of behavior to port and air traffic security.
In addition, Dussmann Service places great importance on wage agreements. Through active participation in the federal association of security companies (BDWS) at national level, we contribute to the establishment of wage agreements and these are strictly adhered to.
